How It Works

From first call to clean space — here's what to expect.

Hiring a junk removal company shouldn't be complicated. Carmody Junk Removal keeps the process simple: you call, we quote, we schedule, we haul. Here's a step-by-step look at what to expect when you hire us for junk removal in Denver.

1

Give Us a Call

The process starts with a phone call to (720) 894-8773. Tell us what you need removed, where you're located in Denver or the surrounding area, and when you'd like to schedule. Most calls take five minutes or less. If you'd prefer, you can also submit a request through our online contact form and we'll get back to you the same day.

2

We Provide a Quote

For most straightforward jobs, we can give you a quote estimate right over the phone based on your description. For larger or more complex jobs — full property cleanouts, estate situations, construction debris — we may do a quick on-site visit to assess the load size before confirming a price. Either way, you'll have a clear number before any work begins. No surprises.

3

Schedule a Time That Works

Once you're ready to move forward, we'll set a date and time. Same-day appointments are often available if you call in the morning. Next-day scheduling is available in most cases throughout Denver and surrounding communities. We work seven days a week — Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 10:30 pm, and weekends from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm. We show up when we say we will.

4

The Crew Shows Up and Gets to Work

On the day of your appointment, our crew arrives with the truck, equipment, and everything needed to do the job. You don't need to move anything to the curb or do any prep work. Just show us what needs to go. We handle all the carrying, loading, and securing. Typical residential jobs — a garage cleanout, a few rooms of furniture — take one to two hours. Larger jobs may take longer, and we'll let you know what to expect when we schedule.

5

Disposal, Recycling, and Donation

Once everything is loaded, we take it from there. Items that are still in usable condition are taken to local donation centers in Denver whenever possible — furniture, household goods, and other salvageable items. Materials that can be recycled are sorted out accordingly. What's left goes to the appropriate disposal facility. We aim to keep as much out of the landfill as reasonably possible, though we can't guarantee specific items will be donated.

How Long Does It Take?

Single-item pickup

30–60 minutes

One appliance, one sofa, a few bags

Room or garage cleanout

1–2 hours

One to two rooms or a typical garage

Full property cleanout

3–6 hours

Multi-room or full-house clearout

Times are estimates. Complex access, very large loads, or disassembly requirements can extend job time.

Common Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often before a job.

Do I need to be home during the pickup?

Yes, for most jobs we need someone on-site to confirm the items and accept the completed work. If you have a specific situation — like a rental property or vacancy — give us a call and we can discuss the options.

How much access does the crew need?

We need to be able to reach the items with the truck parked nearby. For interior items, clear walking paths help us work faster. For heavy or oversized items in tight spaces, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Do I need to disassemble anything?

No. We handle basic disassembly as needed — bed frames, shelving units, and similar items. If something requires extensive disassembly, we'll account for that time in the quote.

How do you handle items at the top of stairs or in awkward spaces?

We deal with this regularly. Our crew is experienced with stairs, tight hallways, and difficult access points. It does affect the labor portion of pricing, so mention it when you describe the job.

Can I add items once the crew arrives?

Yes, within reason. If there's room on the truck and it's a manageable addition, we can usually accommodate it. If the addition significantly changes the load size or labor, we'll adjust the price before loading anything extra.

What should I do to prepare?

Not much. If you want to speed things up, you can stack smaller items together or make a clear path to larger pieces. But you're not required to do any of that — we're set up to handle it as-is.
